Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said that he is convinced that there is no doping in English football.
The Frenchman spoke about doping in football at his press conference yesterday, saying that he would happily meet with the head of UK Anti-Doping, Nicole Sapstead, to discuss the issue.
Wenger said: “What is important is that we all try to show we don’t accept it. It is important to think that when a guy wins it is because he is the best, not because he has taken illegal substances.”
Arsenal were the victims of a doping scandal earlier in the season when they lost to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. The Croatian club started that game with Arijan Ademi, who would later test positive for banned substances
